CodeEssentials Books is a small independent publisher. This site sells nothing directly — it describes our books, links to Amazon, and offers a free companion toolkit with each one. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we ask before setting any cookie, and we have never sold anyone's data.
Every book here has a free companion PDF. If you ask for one, we collect your email address in order to send it, and to email you a short series of practical tips about that book's subject. That is the only reason we ask, and the address is the only thing the form collects.
Email is handled by MailerLite, who store the address on our behalf. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you for good. We never sell, rent, or share the list.
Analytics
This site currently loads no analytics and no third-party scripts at all. If that changes, it will be Google Analytics 4, it will run only after you accept a cookie notice, and declining will leave the site working exactly the same. We do not run advertising, remarketing, or personalisation, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
If that notice does appear, your choice is remembered in your own browser's local storage under the key ceb-consent. Clearing your browser data resets it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, who process standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) as part of serving and protecting the site. We do not use those logs for analytics.
Amazon links
Links to buy our books go to Amazon. Once you land there, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply — we have no visibility into what you do on Amazon, and Amazon does not tell us who you are.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link inside it, and you can ask us to delete anything we hold about you. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to request a copy of that data or to object to how it is used. Ask and we will do it — there is no process to go through.
